Before I start writing, please do not say "I hate police officers". Living in Canada now for about 15+ years or so, I have come to a conclusion that the Police force in Ontario has too much power.

We have this incident now in Toronto, where a police officer is being charged for Careless Use of a Firearm. Constable William Hamilton, 58 is being charged for pointing a firearm at two security guards, who questioning him after he tried to enter a private property.

All i have to say is that there is good cops and bad cops, but majority of them are bad. I am sure we as Canadians, being good citizens have experienced some of this aggression by police in some form.

Let it be a traffic violation, or being involved in some kind of altercation. In my opinion the police force is not properly trained in Canada.

What the police does in Canada it harasses people or investigates silly matters (let's find Sidney Crosby's stick and glove.) instead of focusing on issues that impact our daily life.

Let me tell you my story last year, I had an altercation with the Toronto Regional Police. I was pulled over at 2am in the morning coming home the police officer flashed lights in my car and kept repeating to me, "Where is the dope", at the end not being able to find anything in the car and noticing i am just a regular Joe travelling home late at night, they ended up giving me a ticket for seat belt violation.

They flashed lights in my car and told me to pull stuff out of my bags in the car etc. To make the long story short i filled a complaint against the police, matter got investigated and guess what the police walked away with clean hands.

My initial complain was that i was a victim of:

Unlawful Search and Seizure:

Everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure. (section 8 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom)

The so called internal investigation, of the police officer came back to me and basically said they have no proof against the police officer because the cameras in the cruises were not working that day due to weather conditions. (Wow really?)

So if someone got shot and killed, there is no footage! (Shouldn't equipment be checked before patrolling the streets?)

Anyways to make this long-story short, we as Canadians have to look deeper into our police force they are not doing the job properly and as tax payers we have the right to question them and make sure the job is being done correctly.

Now don't scream at me, if you have family or are in the police force. I respect the police, I been pulled over before and violated the Traffic Act and have paid the penalty for it when I was wrong.

We need our police to be trained better specifically how to handle different situations. Many people have fallen victim to the police force, as they think they are allowed to take any action necessary, they have limits and boundaries which they should not cross. If we are not settings those limits and boundaries on them who else will?

RCMP won't be doing any investigations on officers that are accused of serious violations.

This simply means independent organizations will be brought in to investigate the RCMP officer's in matters where the matter is very serious.

This is great news, this means a more thorough investigation can be completed. The question that comes to mind what will be the criteria for selecting these independent organization.

I hope, these organization are not selected by the RCMP because this would defeat the whole purpose of such a system in place.  These investigation(s) will usually apply when a life is lost and in more serious matters.

Keep in mind that the policy does not eliminate the RCMP to investigate themselves in certain cases. I think this is a step forward but not the complete package. The public is taking control back into their hands, we pay for this system so I think we should have a say in this system.

This is only for serious cases, I think this approach would also work well for smaller cases since most of the violations will be small matters, but I am not going to complain at least it is some sort of start in Canada.

Some recent news in the USA. President Barack Obama is proposing a "tax cut", yes a cut not an increase. This would benefit small businesses and attempt to curb the unemployment rate. The total cost of the proposal is about $33billion dollars.

In my opinion the unemployment remains high due to the fact that the cost for labour has never changed. You can lower interest rates but lowering labour costs is a sensitive and a hard thing to do.Two years ago interest rates were around 8% now they are at 3.25%. Labour cost were lowered at allot of job places but I don't think they lowered in such a big proportion as compared to the interest rates.

There is theories floating around that white-collar workers compliment capital investment and capital investment stirs job loss in the blue collar market. New York has started a proposal that will cover the employers tax share to the government.

The tax cut would cover the employers, FUTA base tax and the Social Security payroll tax. There is some restrictions to these tax cuts to close off some loopholes that an employer might try to explore and save on tax.

In my opinion this is great they are now realizing that "employment" is an important factor to help the economy, I think here in North America we need to bring more production here, or at least implement some kind of import/export ratio to encourage domestic production.

Firms in this tax cut would be able to claim $5,000 dollar tax credit for every new employee they hire and to be reimbursed for Social Security retirement taxes on increased payroll, and they don't have to wait a whole year until this occurs can be done every quarter!

As far as Canada goes, there is nothing being done like this instead we are being shafted by the HST tax by

Mr Harper and his hooligans.

Do we really need a HST right now, when some people can barley pay for basic necessities.

CRTC is allowing subscribers to transport their phone numbers to other wireless carriers, without paying down the complete bill or any other monies owed to the old carrier.

Rogers asked CRTC to block this number transfer, until the monies owed would be paid by the customer to the old carrier. Rogers withdrew this application.

Telus critized Rogers Wireless and said this was blatant attempt, to prevent to slow down their market loss and customers switching over. Telus claimed this would not promote customer choice.

It sems like the customer's "loonie" is getting stretched here in Canada from both sides. In my opinion we have some of the weirdest rules in the world that completley don't make sense in the wireless industry like:
